Meteore 10 is used for concrete, plaster and marble effects (Cemento, Intonaco, Marmorizzato). Meteore 8 is focused on stone‑like relief with the option of a lamé metallic veil, giving a calmer, softer reading than many Meteore 10 systems.

In simplified form:

• Prepare and level the substrate; sand and clean.
• Apply the appropriate fixative and Primer 400 to regulate absorption.
• Apply a first coat of Meteore 8 to build the base relief.
• Optionally apply a second coat to refine texture and highlights.

Coverage depends on effect and texture level. As a broad guide, relief finishes often use around 3–4 m² per litre per coat, while smoother or more compressed applications may extend the yield. Actual consumption should always be confirmed via on‑site sampling.

At approximately 20 °C and normal humidity:

• Touch‑dry: around 2–3 hours.
• Recoat interval: around 6–8 hours.
• Full dry (before Lamé): roughly 24 hours.

The base Meteore 8 finish has a mineral sheen; when compressed, it can reveal subtle glints. Using the dedicated Lamé topcoat over Meteore 8 creates a more obvious metallic lamé effect, turning it into a metallic stone finish.

Unsealed mineral finishes are primarily decorative and should be cleaned very gently (dusting rather than wet cleaning). For projects requiring more regular cleaning, the choice of system and maintenance regime should be discussed with Italian Surface Finishes; Lamé itself is a thin decorative veil and should be cleaned with care.

Yes. Localised repairs and blends are possible with mineral trowel systems, particularly when performed by a trained applicator. Depending on the damage, it may be possible to repair small sections or may be preferable to re‑work natural breaks such as corners.

Lighting is critical. Grazing and directional light reveal the relief and highlights, while flat lighting produces a softer, more understated reading. Sample boards should always be reviewed under the project’s final lighting before sign‑off.
