Choreographed wave motion
Two colours move together across the wall, guided by PV 102 and PV 103, to build broad, directional sea‑waves with no repeating stencil or print.
Italian Surface Finishes in UK
Two‑colour sea‑wave system for statement walls. Mavericks is Valpaint’s luminescent wave‑effect coating: a dual‑tone decorative system worked over Nautilus undercoat with PV 102 / PV 103 brushes so broad swells and crystal highlights move across the wall. It reads as a controlled, architectural gesture rather than a random special effect.
TWO‑COLOUR SEA‑WAVE DECORATIVE SYSTEM · VALPAINT ARTISTIC TEXTURES · CURATED BY ITALIAN SURFACE FINISHES IN LONDON
Mavericks is a two‑colour wave system, not a random texture. Over a dedicated Nautilus undercoat, two coordinated shades are loaded onto the PV 102 Double Brush and then refined with PV 103. Crystals in the body catch light and exaggerate the sense of movement without losing legibility of the waves.
Within the Italian Surface Finishes framework, Mavericks sits alongside Meteore 10 Intonaco, Klondike Classic and Sabulador Soft as part of the artistic textures group — the family that carries more expressive, choreographed surfaces, used sparingly against calmer architectural finishes.

A dedicated Nautilus base controls absorption, sheen and open time so the wave effect stays clean, luminous and manageable on site.
Fine crystals built into the system deliver opalescent highlights that respond to grazing light and movement, especially in hospitality and lobby schemes.
“A living wall — broad, crystalline sea‑waves with architectural discipline.”
Italian Surface Finishes × ValpaintMavericks is specified when a wall needs motion, light and a distinct focal gesture. It works best as a single strong element in a composition, supported by quieter finishes such as Meteore 10 concrete, Sabulador Soft or simple matt paints.
Reception desks, lift lobbies, stair cores and bar backdrops where a controlled, cinematic surface is part of the brand language.
Boutique retail, show flats and marketing suites where the wall has to carry impact in photography and on social, as well as in person.
Feature walls in lounges, dining rooms and double‑height spaces where a single sea‑wave wall anchors the interior.
Mavericks is an interior wall system. For showers, wet rooms and continuously wet zones, the visible finish is typically drawn from the Waterproof Artistic Walls framework based on E‑VOLUTION PLUS, with Mavericks reserved for dry or splash‑adjacent areas as part of a wider concept.

Mavericks is always designed as a complete system — substrate preparation, Nautilus undercoat, colour packs and effect coat. The wave language is tuned via the colour duo, PV 102 choreography and PV 103 refinement.
Typical system build:
• Substrate repaired, levelled, sanded and de‑dusted.
• 1–2 coats Nautilus undercoat, depending on substrate and tone, rolled evenly.
• Two Mavericks containers each charged with their dedicated L50 colour pack (two different shades).
• Colours labelled and tested on a sample panel under project lighting before full application.
On‑wall sequence:
• Work in ~1–2 m² zones, loading each side of the PV 102 Double Brush with a different colour.
• Lay down broken, diagonal or curved strokes so the two tones interweave across the wall.
• While open, pass lightly with PV 103 (dry) to spread crystals, sculpt broad waves and soften joins.
• Stand back regularly to check scale, rhythm and density, adjusting before the film closes.
