MATERIAL & ORDER CARE

Before the material becomes the wall.

Understand colour, samples, prepared orders, system quantities, application, delivery and aftercare before the project moves forward.

READ THE ORDER REALITIES
01 · MATERIAL

Appearance is physical.

Screen, sample, room light, substrate, batch and application hand can all change what is seen.

02 · PREPARATION

Prepared orders are specific.

Tinting, Rif selection and project assembly must be understood before preparation begins.

03 · SYSTEM

Components stay connected.

Primer, base, finish, additive and protection perform different jobs within one specified route.

04 · APPLICATION

The method shapes the result.

Tools, movement, substrate, working time and skill are part of the finished appearance.

THE RIGHT TRUTH, BESIDE THE DECISION

Seven realities carried through the order.

Product pages, the Material Desk, Samples, basket records, order confirmation and formal policies should carry the same truth at the point where it matters.

01

Colour, material & sample accuracy.

A decorative finish is a physical surface. A screen is useful for discovery, but it cannot reproduce every change in relief, grazing light, sheen or hand-applied movement.

01

SCREEN

Useful for discovery, not final verification.

02

CATALOGUE

The official family and reference route.

03

APPLIED BOARD

The selected product, reference and stated movement in physical form.

04

ROOM LIGHT

Daylight, artificial light and surrounding materials alter perception.

05

FULL WALL

Scale, substrate, batch, applicator hand and protection complete the result.

What this means for the order

The selected colour, Rif, finish or movement identifies the requested appearance. Full-wall scale, substrate, batch, coat structure, protection, room light and application can influence the completed result.

You should

  • Review the catalogue reference and, where useful, an applied sample.
  • Hold the sample vertically in the intended room and view it at different times.
  • Confirm the exact product, reference and movement before ordering.
  • Order one project together where batch continuity matters.

ISF will

  • Preserve the selected product, reference and movement in the order record.
  • Distinguish digital representation from physical applied reference.
  • State material limitations without treating the sample as meaningless.
  • Arrange a Studio visit when seeing the finish would help.
02

Prepared-to-order, tinting & batch integrity.

Some products are stocked as standard goods. Others are tinted, measured, paired or prepared for the selected reference and order route. The product record must say which position applies.

01

Select

Confirm the product, full colour code and pack size.

02

Review

Preparation charge, quantity, delivery position and return class are visible.

03

Prepare

Material is tinted, measured, paired or assembled to the recorded order.

04

Dispatch

Preparation status and carrier transit remain separate stages.

What this means for the order

Preparation may create a product-specific order. The relevant charge, selected reference, connected components and point at which preparation begins should be clear before commitment.

You should

  • Check the product, Rif or colour, pack size and quantity.
  • Confirm the whole project quantity before preparation starts.
  • Keep material for one connected wall or project together.
  • Contact ISF promptly where an order detail appears wrong.

ISF will

  • Show preparation and tinting charges before checkout.
  • Record preparation and return classes against the relevant line.
  • Never describe every product as bespoke without a product-level basis.
  • Keep faulty, wrong or damaged-goods remedies separate from change-of-mind rules.

03

Complete systems, coverage & quantity guidance.

ISF system packages connect the preparation, finish and supporting materials required by the selected route. Area calculators provide planning guidance; they are not a site survey or an absolute consumption guarantee.

01

Preparation

The existing wall surface, primer and any levelling layer.

02

Finish

Selected product, colour or Rif, pack and movement.

03

Supporting stage

Additive, reactive component or required protection where specified.

04

Method

Tools, coats, drying times and application method.

What ISF selects

The products shown in your final review: preparation, finish, any required additives, selected protection and pack sizes.

What you enter

Check your wall area, colour, application method, existing wall surface and any optional protection or tools.

What remains site-dependent

Substrate soundness, absorption, texture, waste, application hand, effective coats, local conditions and the accuracy of supplied measurements.

Keep required components connected.

Removing a primer, additive, base or protection can change the intended method. Optional components are identified separately.

Coverage is a planning basis.

Published coverage supports a cautious quantity plan. Actual use can change with the wall, technique and working conditions.

Images demonstrate character.

An architectural photograph shows appearance and material context; it does not promise an identical result on every wall.

Materials do not include installation.

Unless a separate written agreement says otherwise, purchasing a system is the supply of materials—not an installation contract or site survey.

04

Application, tools & responsible use.

ISF materials may be purchased by any customer. Decorative finishes are hand-applied systems, and the completed appearance can be influenced by preparation, tools, coat structure, working time and application technique.

APPLICATION & SKILL

Professional application is strongly recommended for spatula-, trowel-, reactive- and other multi-stage finishes.

Always follow the current product method, technical data and safety information. Material supply does not include installation.

01

Accessible application

Suitable for a capable customer following the complete current method.

02

Skilled application

Prior decorative-paint or trowel experience is strongly recommended.

03

Professional application recommended

Used for finishes applied with a spatula or trowel, reactive finishes and methods with several stages.

04

Technical review recommended

Discuss the intended product, substrate and route before ordering.

Tool classification

  • Manufacturer-required
  • Manufacturer-recommended
  • Technique-specific
  • Optional or supporting

Product-specific records take priority over general advice.

Before application

  • Read the current method and technical sheet.
  • Check the substrate and preparation route.
  • Practise unfamiliar movement before the main wall.
  • Use the specified working sequence and tools.

Where the warning belongs

Check that the application method on your order matches the finish you want.

05

Technical data, safety & storage.

Method statements, technical data and safety information remain tied to the exact product and revision. Product-specific labels and current documents take priority over general website guidance.

METHOD

How the specified system is applied.

Sequence, coats, drying times, technique, tools and wall preparation.

TDS

Current technical product data.

Coverage, drying, preparation, pack and application information.

SDS

Current safety information.

Handling, storage, first aid, disposal and applicable hazard information.

Document control

Every public method, TDS and SDS should record its title, manufacturer, revision date, applicable market and current or superseded status.

Safe use

Read labels and current safety information before handling, storage or disposal. Keep products secure and use only within their stated conditions.

Product handover

Use only the current Method, TDS and SDS linked from the relevant product experience. Superseded documents are withdrawn from the public product record.

06

Delivery, inspection & project timing.

Preparation time, dispatch time and carrier transit are different stages. Delivery estimates should not be treated as guaranteed project start dates unless ISF has expressly confirmed a date in writing.

PLAN LABOUR AFTER INSPECTION

Do not commit to irreversible or non-refundable installation dates until the complete order has arrived and been checked.

Confirm the packaging, quantities, selected product and reference before the applicator begins.

01

Count

Check the number of packages against the order.

02

Inspect

Review visible condition before opening or disposing of packaging.

03

Photograph

Record damage, labels and packaging where an issue is suspected.

04

Confirm

Check product, reference, pack and quantity before labour begins.

Before ordering

  • Check the delivery area and access restrictions.
  • Allow for preparation as well as carrier transit.
  • Do not plan irreversible labour around an unconfirmed estimate.

On delivery

  • Check packages and visible condition promptly.
  • Keep packaging until the order is confirmed.
  • Keep suspected wrong material unopened.

When something is wrong

Use Customer Care with the order number, affected product, delivery date, labels and packaging. Where photographs are useful, Customer Care will explain how to provide them securely by reply email.

07

Returns, faults & complaints.

Standard goods, prepared goods, personalised samples, wrong orders, transit damage and faults are not one category. The published policy distinguishes them while preserving applicable statutory rights.

01

Change of mind

Depends on the product class, condition, order status and published terms.

02

Wrong item

Keep the material unused and report the order line promptly.

03

Transit damage

Retain packaging and record visible condition and labels.

04

Fault concern

Stop using the affected material where continuing could obscure the issue.

05

Formal complaint

Provide the concern, evidence and desired review outcome in writing.

Change of mind

The available cancellation or return route depends on the product class, order status and published terms. Contact ISF promptly rather than assuming preparation can be reversed.

Wrong, damaged or faulty

Report the issue with the order number, affected line, labels, packaging and useful photographs. Do not continue using material where that could obscure the issue.

Complaint review

ISF will identify the evidence needed, explain the review stage and provide a written outcome. Data-protection complaints have their own clear route.
