Italian manufacture London Studio ISF Academy Installer Network

Join the Valpaint × ISF Installer Network.

A Level-based network of installers who run the same systems, language and risk picture as the ISF Academy and London Studio – so manufacturer, designer and client all see one method from sample to handover.

Framework-aligned, not one-off Levels, not random jobs Systems, not single products Feedback from site to Studio

Network purpose

The ISF Framework – taken out onto real sites.

The Installer Network is how the ISF Framework shows up on live projects. It uses the same six Levels as the Academy, so installers, designers and contractors are talking about systems, substrates and risk – not just colour cards.

For installers

A structured way to turn Italian systems into repeatable work, not just a certificate on the wall. Projects are filtered by Level, scope and risk so you’re not asked to improvise outside what you can stand behind.

For designers & contractors

A pool of installers who share the same details and language as the Studio and Academy. When you specify a Level, you know what that means on site: bodies, primers, joints, sequencing and aftercare – not just a product name.

If you’re looking for an installer for a live project, use Find an installer instead of this page.

For the Framework & manufacturer

Feedback from Network projects loops back into the London Studio and Academy. Details sharpen, risk pictures evolve and new modules are built from real UK sites – not just catalogue photos. This is how Valpaint and partner brands know their systems are being run with discipline.

Who it’s for

Independent installers, small teams and Framework leads.

The Network is built for professionals who want to work inside a coherent system – not just chase “one job at a time”. You can be a solo installer, part of a small crew or a studio practice, as long as you’re serious about systems and risk.

Independent installers & small crews

  • Decorators, plasterers, Venetian / microcement installers moving into the ISF Framework.
  • Teams who already run good work, but want clear systems and backing behind it.
  • Installers who like working with light, detail and risk – not just coverage.

Studios, practices & Framework partners

  • Design studios and contractors who want a consistent way to deliver Framework schemes across projects.
  • Preferred installer pools who want to plug into the Academy and Network together.
  • Practices who need one language linking technical data, drawings, installers and clients.

Levels & pathways

The Network uses the same six Levels as the Academy.

We don’t invent a new grading system for the Network. We use the six Academy Levels so training, specification and delivery all line up. You don’t have to climb every rung – but the higher you go, the more complex work we can safely route to you.

Level 1

Foundations & core tools

Substrates, moisture, primers, bodies and protection. You understand the common failures that kill Italian surface systems and how to prevent them.

Network scope: prep & protection roles, assisting higher Levels on early Framework jobs.

Level 2–3

Decorative walls · silk to metallics

Silk, suede, satin and designer metallics / lamé on real walls: bedrooms, lounges, hospitality, stair cores and lobbies.

Network scope: decorative walls on residential and commercial projects, usually as part of a small crew.

Metallics & lamé (L3)

Level 4–5

Mineral walls & wet systems

Concrete, stone, marble, continuous microcement and Waterproof Artistic Walls in bathrooms, wet rooms and floors.

Network scope: high-risk areas where failure is expensive – you own the system, not just the colour.

Architectural textures (L4)
Continuous & waterproof (L5)

Level 6

Framework lead & specialist

You lead Framework projects, mentor other installers and feed performance data back into the Studio and manufacturer – including time spent in the Italy innovation & design residency.

Network scope: regional or project lead for multi-system schemes.

Process

How joining the Network actually works.

This is not a “click to join” directory. We start with how you work now, agree a Level, and then plug you into the Framework so everyone understands what you can safely deliver.

1 · Introduce your practice. Tell us where you’re based, what you install now, typical project sizes and any experience with decorative or continuous systems. Links to Instagram, website or a shared folder are ideal.
2 · Map your experience to a Level. Together we map your portfolio against the Academy Levels. Some installers clearly align with a Level; others will benefit from a specific Academy course or bridging module.
3 · Onboard into the Framework. We capture the basics: regions you cover, insurances, crew size, availability pattern and which systems you’ll stand behind. This becomes your Network profile.
4 · Receive Level-matched opportunities. When a project comes through that matches your Level, region and capacity, we introduce you. You stay in control of which opportunities you accept.

Regions

Where we’re actively building the Network.

The Network is UK-focused and grows in waves. We care more about accurate coverage than dots on a map. Tell us where you can realistically support Framework jobs.

London & South East

High density of residential refurbishments, boutique hospitality and design-led commercial work.

Priority region for all Levels, especially decorative walls, bathrooms and continuous floors.

South West & Wales

Residential projects, coastal properties and hospitality schemes.

Building coverage for Levels 2–5; tell us if you already serve these areas and how far you travel.

Midlands

Mix of residential, retail, workplace and leisure interiors.

Looking for installers across Levels 1–4 with capacity to cover wider catchments.

North of England

Manchester, Leeds, Liverpool, Newcastle and surrounding areas.

Focus on Levels 2–5 for decorative and continuous systems on design-driven schemes.

Scotland

Residential and hospitality projects in and around major cities and destination sites.

Growing Network presence – tell us your base, travel radius and typical project type.

Ireland & islands

Selected work in Ireland and island locations, usually planned well in advance.

Opportunities are more occasional, but we still want to hear from experienced installers at higher Levels.

Questions

Installer Network – FAQ.

Do I have to be trained at the ISF Academy to join?

Not always, but it helps. The Network is built around the Academy Levels, so installers who have come through the Academy are easier to place. If you already work at an equivalent standard, we’ll look at your evidence and agree a Level together – which may still include specific Academy modules.

Is this the same as being an “approved Valpaint installer”?

In the UK, official approval to run Valpaint systems through ISF sits inside this Network. The Framework, Academy and Network work together so that manufacturers, specifiers and clients all see one method – not separate schemes.

Does joining the Network guarantee me work?

No. The Network is not an employment scheme. It’s a structured way to be considered for projects that need your Level and systems. You remain an independent business and choose which opportunities to accept.

Can I still work outside the Framework?

Yes. You remain free to run your own projects however you like. The Network gives you a way to take on Framework jobs that match your Level – it does not lock you into exclusive work.

I’m based outside the UK – can I join?

The Network is focused on UK projects. If you’re based elsewhere but work regularly in the UK, include this when you introduce your practice and we can talk about what is realistic.

How are commercial terms and rates handled?

We discuss rates, travel, accommodation and commercial terms as part of onboarding and then on a project-by-project basis. The aim is to keep risk, scope and expectations clear for everyone involved.
