Soft sandy veil
Fine grains and pearlescent pigments organised into a subtle, mineral sheen — enough movement to bring the wall to life, without dominating the base system.

Sandy overlay and soft‑sheen veil. Sabulador Soft is Valpaint’s calmest sandy finish — a soft luminescent overlay that sits over existing decorative systems or primed walls. Brushed in veils, it adds a gentle, mineral shimmer without hiding the character of the base, turning concrete, stone or flat colour into a more tactile, light‑responsive surface.
SOFT SANDY OVERLAY · LAYERED LUMINESCENCE · VALPAINT SYSTEM, CURATED IN UK
Soft light, not loud texture. Sabulador Soft is a sandy, pearlescent veil designed to be read as a layer of light rather than an effect coating. Applied over smooth primers or over other Valpaint systems, it keeps the underlying structure visible and adds a controlled luminescent wash.
Designed as an overlay. While Sabulador Lux & Matt create their own sandy body, Sabulador Soft is often used over Meteore 10, Valsetin, decorative paints and Waterproof Artistic Walls bodies to unify colour, soften contrast and introduce a quiet, sandy shimmer. The film is thin, yield is high and the result feels closer to a glaze than a stand‑alone “special effect”.
Fine grains and pearlescent pigments organised into a subtle, mineral sheen — enough movement to bring the wall to life, without dominating the base system.
Designed to sit over primed walls or existing decorative systems, including concrete plasters, stone effects and waterproof bodies, to tune or soften their reading.
Because Sabulador Soft is applied as a thin veil, coverage per litre is high compared with more body‑building systems — ideal for long runs and large feature walls.
“Sabulador Soft behaves like a sandy light filter — it doesn’t erase the system under it, it calms and illuminates it.”
Italian Surface FinishesSabulador Soft is specified wherever designers want to soften, unify or re‑light existing decorative systems — from concrete and stone plasters to flat paints — without losing their underlying structure.
Applied as a veil over systems like Meteore 10 or stone effects to introduce a soft sandy shimmer, reduce stark contrasts and add perceived depth.
Used over flat colours, metallic paints or Valsetin‑type finishes to create a more tactile, mineral reading without completely changing the scheme.
As a soft overlay within Waterproof Artistic Walls over E‑VOLUTION PLUS, where a sandy luminescent reading is required in wet rooms and spa environments.
On smooth primed walls, Sabulador Soft can also be used as the primary decorative system. In kitchens and bathrooms it can be used on dry and splash zones; for permanently wet areas and showers it is designed as the visible layer within a complete Waterproof Artistic Walls build‑up.

Sabulador Soft is always specified as part of a complete system — either as a primary sandy finish over primer, or as an overlay over existing decorative systems. Yield is high because the film is thin; the key is preparation and sample‑led choreography.
Typical decorative cycle (smooth walls):
• Substrate made good — fill, skim and sand smooth; de‑dust thoroughly.
• 1–2 coats of regulating primer (e.g. PRIMART 600), dilution to substrate.
• First coat of Sabulador Soft with suitable brush, creating a continuous, thin sandy veil.
• Second coat of Sabulador Soft, worked in controlled passes to organise movement.
• Optional clear protection in higher‑traffic zones or where enhanced cleanability is required.
Over systems such as Meteore 10, E‑VOLUTION PLUS, Valsetin and other decorative finishes:
• Confirm the base system is fully cured, clean and sound.
• If required, apply a regulating primer or inter‑coat specified by Italian Surface Finishes.
• Apply 1–2 thin coats of Sabulador Soft, brushing in veils so the underlying pattern remains visible.
• Use sample‑approved choreography to control direction, intensity and sheen (e.g. calmer in corridors, stronger
on focal walls).
The exact build‑up and zoning (dry / splash / wet) should always be confirmed with Italian Surface Finishes against project drawings and details.
