Recoat: approx. 3–4 hours at 20 °C.
Through dry: approx. 24 hours.

Tinting Tinted using Valpaint’s system. All Sabulador Soft tinting for the UK is carried out by Italian Surface Finishes in London to align catalogue boards, studio panels and site batches under UK lighting.

Use Interior walls and ceilings in residential, retail and hospitality projects where a soft sandy overlay or luminescent primary finish is desired — including use as a veil over concrete plasters, decorative paints and Waterproof Artistic Walls bodies.

*Coverage values are indicative and will vary with substrate, application method and desired effect. Always confirm via representative site samples under project conditions.

Compatible substrates

Sabulador Soft is suitable for interior walls and ceilings when applied over properly prepared, primed or decorative substrates:

  • New gypsum plaster and skimmed plasterboard (fully cured, smooth and dry).
  • Jointed plasterboard with correctly treated joints and repairs.
  • Sound, previously painted surfaces (cleaned, non‑chalky and suitably primed).
  • Interior masonry/render that is dry, stable and primed.
  • Compatible decorative systems (e.g. Meteore 10, E‑VOLUTION PLUS, Valsetin) that are fully cured and clean.

Substrates must be free from rising damp, efflorescence, loose coatings and contaminants. Additional primers or inter‑coats may be specified when overlaying existing decorative systems; refer to Italian Surface Finishes for project‑specific advice.

System build — Sabulador Soft

The exact specification will vary with substrate and whether Soft is used as a primary finish or overlay. Typical systems are:

  1. As a primary decorative finish:
Substrate prepared, primed (e.g. PRIMART 600), then 2 thin veils of Sabulador Soft applied by brush, to approved sample.
  2. As an overlay over decorative systems:
Existing decorative system checked and, if needed, inter‑coated; then 1–2 veils of Sabulador Soft applied as a sandy luminescent overlay to tune the reading.

Where Sabulador Soft is used as a visible finish within Waterproof Artistic Walls, the substrate, waterproof build‑up, reinforcement and detailing are defined within the relevant E‑VOLUTION PLUS or associated system documentation.

Performance & maintenance

Performance notes

  • Provides a durable decorative overlay on vertical interior surfaces when applied over stable, suitably primed or decorative substrates.
  • Designed for residential, retail and hospitality interiors where a soft sandy sheen or overlay is desired.
  • Not intended as a stand‑alone waterproof membrane in permanently wet areas; for such zones, use within Waterproof Artistic Walls systems.

Cleaning & care

  • Allow approximately 15 days for full curing before first cleaning.
  • Dust regularly with a soft cloth, microfibre or feather duster.
  • For marks, wipe gently with a damp cloth and mild neutral detergent. Avoid aggressive scrubbing that could burnish the sandy film or alter sheen.
  • Avoid abrasive pads, scouring powders, bleach and solvent‑based cleaners.

Health, safety & environment

  • Water‑borne decorative coating with low VOC content, suitable for interior environments when used as directed.
  • Ensure adequate ventilation during application and drying.
  • Avoid contact with skin and eyes; wear suitable gloves and eye protection.
  • Do not ingest. Keep out of reach of children.
  • Store between +5 °C and +30 °C in original, closed containers. Protect from frost and direct heat.
  • Do not pour residues or wash‑water into drains or watercourses; dispose of according to local regulations.
  • Refer to the official Valpaint Safety Data Sheet (SDS) for full safety information.
