Low‑VOC silk system
Updated binder with very low VOC and A+ indoor‑air credentials so silk walls can be specified in homes, hotels and workplaces with clear documentation.
Italian Surface Finishes in UK
Modern Italian silk for architecture. Valsetin 2 is Valpaint’s next‑generation silk wall system — a low‑VOC satin coating that turns walls into woven light. Built as a Primer 400 + silk coat cycle, it gives controlled colour, calm sheen and repeatable results across full elevations.
MODERN ITALIAN SILK WALL SYSTEM · LOW‑VOC SATIN · PRIMER 400 TINTED UNDERCOAT · PART OF THE ARCHITECTURAL FINISHES COLLECTION
Valsetin 2 — Formulated in Italy from modern satin microfibres for luminous calm · Curated & tinted in the UK by Italian Surface Finishes
Valsetin 2 is a low‑VOC silk system, not just a decorative paint. A tinted Primer 400 undercoat stabilises the wall and carries the colour; thin silk coats then bring in micro‑pearls that scatter light like threads in fabric. The result is a calm, directional satin sheen that reads as textile rather than gloss.
Inside the Italian Surface Finishes framework, Valsetin 2 sits alongside Meteore 10 Intonaco (architectural concrete and stone), Klondike Classic (metallic textures) and Sabulador Soft (sanded shimmer) as the core architectural finishes group — the family used to build full interiors: concrete, sand, metal and silk working together on one plan.

Primer 400 is always tinted towards the final silk tone. It evens absorption, hides repairs and gives depth so large walls read as a single, composed surface.
Micro‑pearls create a soft, woven sheen that sits naturally next to Meteore concretes, Sabulador sands and Klondike metallics without shouting.
“A woven glow for modern interiors — sustainable, breathable and impeccably refined.”
Italian Surface Finishes × ValpaintValsetin 2 is specified when a wall needs texture, light and calm luxury without moving into full plaster relief. It often replaces textile wallcoverings, especially where maintenance, repair and future design changes are part of the brief.
Bedrooms, suites, lounges and corridors where a soft, hotel‑grade satin supports stone, timber and fabric schemes.
Flagships, boutiques, salons and marketing suites where the wall must photograph well and feel substantial from a few centimetres away.
Gallery‑style living rooms, showrooms and entrance halls where a woven light field is the backdrop for objects, art and people.
Valsetin 2 is designed for dry, ventilated interiors. In bathrooms or spa schemes it can appear as the visible finish on walls adjacent to showers, with fully wet zones handled by the Waterproof Artistic Walls framework built on E‑VOLUTION PLUS.

Valsetin 2 is always designed as a complete system — preparation, tinted Primer 400, silk coats and (where needed) the Soft / protective cycle. That makes it easy to sit alongside Meteore 10 Intonaco, Klondike Classic and Sabulador Soft in one coherent specification.
Typical build‑up:
• Substrate repaired, levelled, sanded and de‑dusted.
• 1 coat Primer 400, tinted towards the chosen Valsetin 2 shade.
• 1–2 thin coats Valsetin 2, applied by stainless trowel / spatula.
• Stroke direction agreed on sample board (vertical, horizontal or diagonal) before full‑wall work.
Effect families:
• Brushed silk — single, consistent grain direction across the wall.
• Flowered / textile — softer, woven or wallpaper‑like patterns using varied strokes or cloths.
Where higher resistance and a softer sheen are required (corridors, circulation spaces), Valsetin 2 can be combined with the V30 / Finish V16 “Soft” cycle as described in the Technical Data Sheet.
