Old walls: remove loose paint, wash and apply an appropriate fixative. When dry, apply Primer 900. New walls: clean, fill, dry, sand and apply a suitable fixative before Primer 900. Allow about 6 hours at 20°C before Klondike. Wood, glass, light alloys and painted iron need cleaning, degreasing or sanding and a suitable substrate primer before Primer 900. Untreated iron needs rust removal and an appropriate anti-rust treatment first. Primer 900 coverage: 10–11 m²/L for one coat. The decorative undercoat does not replace substrate-specific preparation.

Add the metallic component to the tinted finish. Star G300 is a separate optional addition. Original has no Gold G100 or Silver G200 addition.
