Old walls: remove loose paint, wash and apply an appropriate fixative. When dry, apply Primer 1000. New walls: clean, fill, dry, sand and apply a suitable fixative before Primer 1000. Allow about 6 hours at 20°C before Klondike Light. Wood, glass, light alloys and painted iron need cleaning, degreasing or sanding and a suitable substrate primer before Primer 1000. Untreated iron needs rust removal and an appropriate anti-rust treatment first. Primer 1000 coverage: 14–15 m²/L for one coat. The decorative undercoat does not replace substrate-specific preparation.

Add the metallic component to the tinted finish. Star G300 is a separate optional addition. Original has no Gold G100 or Silver G200 addition. The manufacturer specifies application within 24 hours of colouring. Arrange preparation, delivery and application timing with ISF before ordering prepared material.
