01 · Make it yours

Choose the effect.

This is an interior decorative system. Allow at least 1–2 days for development as directed, then complete the two-coat Finish V16 protection stage. A bathroom photograph does not establish suitability for wet zones.

02 · The character

Three effects. Three beginnings.

Oxidised, Copper Oxide and Oxidised Galvanised start differently. Their application and reaction create the final character.

03 · From material to wall

Made through the method.

Preparation, application and the selected materials belong to one finish. Review the complete cycle before beginning the work.

  1. 01

    Prepare for the chosen effect

The ground and metal layers depend on the selected finish.

  2. 02

    Allow the reaction to develop

Follow the effect-specific sequence and allow the documented development time.

  3. 03

    Complete with Finish V16

The protection stage uses two coats and belongs to the full system.

The practical detail.

This is an interior decorative system. Allow at least 1–2 days for development as directed, then complete the two-coat Finish V16 protection stage. A bathroom photograph does not establish suitability for wet zones.

Follow the Oxidised application cycle

Apply Primer 1200 to a sound, clean and repaired surface; allow 4 hours at 20°C. Brush on one covering coat of Ferro with crossed strokes, reworking while wet with an unloaded brush. Allow 8 hours. Dab Oxidising Solution with PV32 in patches, then fill the remaining spaces. Add a second coat after 3 hours. Further coats depend on the intended oxidation. After the development period described in the catalogue, apply two coats of Finish V16, 2 hours apart. Trial the complete cycle on a small area and follow the full manufacturer instructions.

Follow the Copper Oxide application cycle

Apply Primer 1200 and allow 4 hours at 20°C. Brush Ferro in short strokes in every direction, reworking with an unloaded brush. After 10 minutes, dab L50 Col. 309 Copper with the compact side of PV32. After 8 hours, dab Oxidising Solution in patches and then into the remaining spaces. Add a second coat after 3 hours. After the development period described in the catalogue, apply two coats of Finish V16, 2 hours apart. Trial the complete cycle and follow the manufacturer’s timing for the developed appearance.

Follow the Oxidised Galvanised application cycle

Apply Primer 1200 and allow 4 hours at 20°C. Brush one covering coat of L50 Col. 301 Aluminium vertically; allow about 4 hours. Brush Ferro into jagged vertical strips of different lengths and allow 8 hours. Apply Oxidising Solution vertically over the whole surface, adding a second coat after 3 hours; a third coat is optional. After the development period described in the catalogue, apply two vertical coats of Finish V16, 2 hours apart. Trial the complete cycle before beginning the wall.

Coverage belongs to the effect

The lower Ferro consumption in the Galvanised route describes its markings over the aluminium ground. It does not describe the consumption of the complete wall system.

Preparation, conditions and care

Remove unstable or chalking coatings and impurities, wash appropriately and repair where necessary. Apply a covering coat of Primer 1200. It is the only component diluted here: 15–20% with water. Continue after 4 hours at 20°C. Apply above +10°C and below +30°C. The finish is satin. Clean tools with water and soap; store tightly closed above +5°C and below +30°C. Ferro is an interior decorative system. A bathroom illustration is not evidence of waterproofing or suitability for floors, shower areas or permanently wet surfaces. Discuss the actual exposure with ISF.

Variations, batches and the source

The manufacturer warns that shade and effect can vary considerably from the catalogue and between batches. Test a complete cycle on a small area. At a batch change, finish at a corner, then mix remaining and new material together before continuing. The English application and technical text in the supplied manufacturer catalogue is the source for these notes. Follow the product and safety information supplied with the material.

Samples and colour in your room

The same finish changes with light, application and the surrounding colours. Use a physical sample and a trial area to confirm the intended result.
